- Visa
Depending on the host country and your country of origin, you may need a visa to attend the conference. Please check the Dutch visa regulations on the immigration authority's webiste, or contact the embassy or consulate of the Netherlands for specific information that apply to your case.
We recommend to start the visa application process well in advance of the conference, as processing times, the process itself and documents necessary for the application itself may vary.

Invitation letters are available upon sending a request to ihci-conference-bms@utwente.nl.
- Transport
The University of Twente is well connected and reachable by public transport. Below you can find examples of routes you can take from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport and Eindhoven Airport to the University of Twente.
If you are planning to use public transport during your travel, we advise you to check the trip planner of the dutch railway company. There you can find the most up to date information, plan your trip and buy tickets.
- Landing in Amsterdam Schiphol Airport
The train station Schiphol Airport is located beneth the airport iself. There, you can take the direct train to Enschede.
You may step out of the train in Hengelo and take bus number 9 at the Hengelo Station bus station (located by the Hengelo Train Station) to Kennispark/UT busstaion. The bus ststaion is infront of the University of Twente's Campus.
Alternatively, you can may go to Enchede, and take bus number 1 at the bustation Station (located infront of the trainstation) to the University of Twente's campus. Bus number 1 passes though the campus itself.
This trip takes about 2h and 20 minutes in total and costs approximately 30 EUR in one direction.
- Landing at Eindhoven Airport
Near the Eindhoven Airport, you can take bus number 400 to the Eindhoven Centraal station. You can take the train going to direction Amsterdam Muiderpoort until Utrecht Centraal. The train ride lasts 1 hour. From Utrecht Centraal, you can take the train to Enschede Centraal. You may step out of the train in Hengelo and take bus number 9 at the Hengelo Station bus station (located by the Hengelo Train Station) to Kennispark/UT busstaion. The buststaion is infront of the University of Twente's Campus.
Alternatively, you can contunue by train untill Enschede Centraal and in front of Enschede Centraal trainstation is the Station bus station, where with bus number 1 to the University of Twente's campus. Bus number 1 passes though the campus itself.
This trip takes about 3h and 10 minutes in total and costs approximately 30 EUR in one direction.
