Shahin Manafi Varkiani is a PhD researcher at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy) in the field of Industry 4.0 and Human Resource Analytics. Her research aims to develop Human Resource Management in a data-driven sense and to explain its impact on business and therefore on business performance. The project “People Analytics: theoretical framework and use cases of data driven human resource management” is supervised by Prof. dr. Tommaso Fabbri. She is currently in visit at the University of Twente as she found a maching with the research interests and project with Prof. Jan de Leede and Prof. ssa Tanya Boundarouk in HRM department.
She obtained her Master degree in Industrial and Management Engineer at the University of Pisa in 2017. The topic of her Master thesis research focused on methods and procedures for new product development’s processes. In the period between master’s degree and the PhD work, she gained the professional experience by working as master’s tutor, a joint research project with a company and in a consultancy firm.
