Research line 2: Mental health-related processes in daily life
Stress is one of the largest environmental risk factors for mental illness, and resilience to daily stressors is crucial to improve mental health. In this research line, we aim to further our understanding of the processes and mechanisms involved in resilience – specifically stress- and reward- related processes – and their role in development of mental illness and fostering of mental health. In addition, we have specific expertise related to other mental health phenomena such as grief, emotion regulation, and self-compassion. We investigate these processes in daily life on affective, behavioural, and physiological levels, using a combination of ambulatory assessment methods.
