General information

Afsheen Abrar is a P.h.D researcher in Department of Finance and Accounting, Faculty of Behavioral, Management and Social Sciences at the University of Twente. Her doctoral research is in the area of microfinance specifically issues and challenges faced by microfinance institutions around the world.

She obtained MBA degree from the Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan. Then she joined National University of Modern languages, Islamabad, Pakistan as a lecturer in regular capacity in 2006. She has obtained her  Master of Science degree (Specialization in Finance) from Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan in (2012). Her thesis is titled as “Role of the financial and social performance of microfinance institutions in the determination of lending interest rate - a cross-country analysis”. She is promoted to the position of Assistant Professor in Faculty of Management Sciences, National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad, Pakistan in June 2015.Currently, she is on study leave.
