Next to EEG, the BMS Faculty also has the facilities to carry out research with functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), which is an optical brain imaging technique that enables to examine changes in oxygenated and deooxygenated hemoglobin at a cortical level that can be related to cognitive functions.
