CMOB is specialized in a unique video-based behavioural observation method in which we also involve our so-called Leadership Lab at the Ravelijn building. This method is used to analyze minute verbal and non-verbal behaviours of managers, employees and change agents in regular work settings. In cooperation with the BMSLab powered by Tech4People at the DesignLab, we experiment with additional biometric and other high-tech assessments. Our research thus fits well in the High Tech Human Touch ambitions of the University of Twente.
Our research is published in A-journals, such as: Journal of Organizational Behavior, The Leadership Quarterly, International Journal of Operations & Production Management, Human Resource Management, European Management Journal, International Review of Industrial and Organizational Behavior, Journal of Management Inquiry and Management Accounting Research. Publications in handbooks include the The Handbook of Organizational Culture and Climate, The Cambridge Handbook of Meeting Science, and Routledge Companion to Lean Management. Please see our staff page to see a full list of publications of each of our research group members.
In order to reach out to practitioners and share our evidence-based insights and experiences we also regularly publish our work in professional journals including Binnenlands Bestuur, Openbaar Bestuur, Holland Management Review, Management Executive, Sigma, M&O Tijdschrift voor Management en Organisatie and even YouTube summaries of PhD theses.
Also in cooperation with our research partners we develop knowledge that is aimed to inspire and support professionals in the workplace.
We are open to hear your thoughts if you would like to finish your Bachelor, Master or PhD thesis at the University of Twente within the field of Change Management & Organizational Behaviour. Quite a few of our (international) students are also part-time practicing consultants or managers. Contact one of our faculty members to discuss your research ideas.
