Mehmet and Pim taught me the principles of research. Their teachings on accuracy, relevance, and due diligence are values I carry for my work to this day.

He expanded his network across Europe via  IMT Atlantique in Nantes (France), Lancaster University in Lancashire (UK), and University of East Anglia in Norwich (UK). After this, he traded academia for a job in industrial research. Today, he is the Chief Researcher Software within BT Group in Ipswich, UK.

Alistair McCormick and Paul O'Brien, colleagues at BT Group (a major telecommunications services provider with the UK as its home market), taught me how to apply research skills in a business context and ensure relevance and value. Detlef Nauck is a great source of knowledge and guidance while my team navigates the impact of AI on software engineering within Digital at BT Group.
