The UT young alumni meetup in Rotterdam was an evening of social and professional networking, dining, and boules
Last Friday, October 11, the UT's Young Alumni Network (YAN) hosted a lively meetup at Mooie Boules in Rotterdam. The event brought together tech-savvy young professionals for an engaging evening of networking, dining, and a friendly round of jeu de boules at Rotterdam's first boules and food bar.
The evening began with a casual game of boules, creating a relaxed and fun-competitive atmosphere! People could easily strike up conversations about living in Enschede, people they know in common or living now nearby Rotterdam. After the game, alumni gathered for a shared dining experience, where the conversations naturally evolved—ranging from personal stories to professional journeys and career insights. The energy was high as new connections were formed, with many attendees even discussing potential future collaborations. The food was really delicious!!!
The event was hosted by alumna Vivian Garos, a proud Rotterdam resident and the newest member of the Young Alumni Network board. A University of Twente graduate in Public Affairs, Garos and other board members warmly welcomed fellow alumni and encouraged them to tap into the network for both social and professional development.
With the perfect balance of networking and relaxation, the night was a resounding success, leaving attendees feeling inspired and eager to stay connected. The Young Alumni Network continues to offer a strong platform for UT graduates to foster new opportunities, build meaningful relationships, and share their experiences in a casual and supportive community.
