Academic teacher training programmes launch preparation platform “Klaar voor de Stap” (Ready to Jump) for career switchers in secondary education

On January 24, the International Day of Education, the academic teacher training programmes, including the UT teacher training programme (BMS-ELAN), launched Klaar voor de Stap, the platform for the career change to secondary education.

A transfer to secondary education can be quite challenging: starting a new degree and a new job, and a career switcher often finds themselves in the classroom straight away. Good preparation is therefore essential. On Klaar voor de Stap (Dutch only), career switchers share their stories and tips with you, so that you can learn from their experiences; for instance preparing for the very first lesson, completing the lateral entry assessment or staying fit for class.

This way, career switchers can start their first weeks with even more confidence and insight. The platform, connected to Het Onderwijsloket, was developed by UNL, the academic teacher training programmes, teacher trainers in secondary education and Stichting Onderwijs in.
