On Friday, October 6th, the annual Alumni Talks took place! Prominent alumni reflected on their careers so far, offering insights into the challenges in their current activities, with their motivations serving as a common thread in their stories. It was an inspiring afternoon for all attendees!

This year, Anke Huiskes, Richard Droste, and Raoul Zaal were welcomed as speakers. Anke Huiskes studied Communication Sciences from 2002 to 2008. After graduating, she built a career in Silicon Valley, transitioning from an employee to an investor to a founder. Anke is a co-founder and Managing Partner of NP-Hard Ventures, a venture capital fund that invests early in startups. She is committed to sustainability and diversity. Richard Droste studied Technical Physics from 1982 to 1987. After working at TNO and Philips, he advanced his career at ASML, where he is now Vice President of Development & Engineering and head of the Business Line EUV-NXE. He passionately explained his belief that their machines have a soul during his presentation. Raoul Zaal studied Technical Business Administration from 1987 to 1994. After experiences in FMCG, Energy, and eCommerce, he transitioned to innovation in healthcare. Having worked for FocusCura and Luscii, he started his first startup, Syntilio, earlier this year to enable remote healthcare.

We hope to see you again next year at the next edition of Alumni Talks! It will take place on October 4, 2024. Updates will be posted on this page.
