As stated under “goals and aims” one of the aims of the Electrical Engineering master programme is that you will become an advanced specialist in one of the fields of Electrical Engineering. These fields or specialisations are defined by the chairs of the Electrical Engineering department. By joining a chair for your master thesis you choose to specialise in the field covered by this chair.
The first thing to do when you start your master programme is to choose one of the chairs above for your specialisation and to contact the programme mentor of this chair.
With this mentor you discuss the courses that you should follow for your specialisation and that should prepare you for your master’s thesis. The procedure and the rules for this are described below under “Program Guidelines”. In the following sections you find descriptions of the chairs including the compulsory courses and the programme mentors.
