Rathenau instituut, Research and debate on science and technology
The Rathenau Institute promotes the formation of political and public opinion on science and technology. To this end, the Institute studies the organization and development of science systems, publishes about social impact of new technologies, and organizes debates on issues and dilemmas in science and technology.

The foundation researches, develops concepts, pilots and prototypes and acts as an intermediate between the arts, science and the media. Waag Society cooperates with cultural, public and private parties. Waag Society follows the method of Creative Research. Creative Research is experimental, interdisciplinary research. Artists, creatives and end users have a central position and a large influence on the final result: Users as Designers.
The Health Council of the Netherlands
The Health Council is an independent scientific advisory body. Its remit is to advise the government and Parliament on the current level of knowledge with respect to public health issues and health (services) research.
The Netherlands Centre for Ethics and Health (CEG) is a joint venture of the Health Council of the Netherlands and the Council for Public Health and Health Care.
Its main task is to identify developments in the field of health which deserve a place on the government’s ethical policy agenda.
The STT Netherlands Study Centre for Technology Trends was established 1968 by The Netherlands Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI/Niria). STT is a non-profit organisation financed by contributions from companies and the Dutch government. STT explores new trends and develops inspiring foresights on technology and society.
NL Agency falls under the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation. The organisation implements programmes, regulations and laws for 11 departments and 17 clients outside the government. NL Agence regularly offers internships at Dutch embassies abroad.
