Marina van damme scholarship

Your donation counts, every year again!

The Marina van Damme Scholarship is awarded each year to a successful University of Twente alumna. This scholarship, consisting of cash amounting to €9,000 and an award, is made possible thanks to a donation by Dr. ir. M.A. van Damme-Van Weele. She was the first student to obtain a PhD at the former Technical University College Twente in 1965.

The winner of the scholarship has four years to spend the amount on further developing her career. Such as by deepening or increasing her knowledge or an international orientation in the form of a study programme, internship or project to an accredited institution.

Marina van Damme network

As a winner, you will be welcomed into the Marina van Damme Network, an active network of former winners. Among other things, they support the scholarship awards by sitting on the juries. In addition, they connect and strengthen each other from their ambitious personalities. From their both different and shared technological backgrounds and interests, they look for opportunities to advance each other and are role models for ambitious women. The members of the Marina van Damme Network meet several times a year, including every spring under the apple tree in Ms Van Damme's garden.
