STER's four pillars include activities in method development and outreach and the pursuit OF funding, prizes and awards.

  • METHOD DEVELOPMENT

    Integrated through educational research, is an ongoing process of refining and creating effective strategies, tools, and approaches to innovate and enhance teaching and learning. By conducting various educational research studies, we seek to inform and validate our method development efforts, ensuring they are evidence-based and contribute meaningfully to advancing engineering education.

    CURRENT FOCUS AREAS

    • Conceptual modelling, essential skills, blended learning, FlexSciLab, and sustainability profiles for engineering students.
    • Furthermore, we welcome and promote new initiatives from teachers to continually improve and innovate our teaching and learning methods. 
  • OUTREACH

    We foster interdisciplinary collaborations and promote our research through various channels. Additionally, we build extensive professional networks across diverse fields, institutions, and industry partners. Our outreach efforts prioritise publishing in high-impact journals and participating in UT educational outreach activities as well as in educational conferences (inter)nationally.
