The Rector Magnificus announces that Prof. Dr. Srirang Manohar, appointed in 2019 by the Executive Board of the University of Twente as Professor of Multi-Modality Medical Imaging (M3I) at the Faculty of Science & Technology, will give his inaugural lecture in the Breedveldzaal, Waaier Building, on Friday 9 September 2022 at 16:00 hrs to mark the occasion of his appointment.
The title of the inaugural lecture is:
IMAGINATION IN IMAGING
The Rector Magnificus kindly invites you to attend this event. Before the inaugural lecture, coffee and tea are served in the foyer of the Waaier building. You may offer your congratulations after the lecture at the reception.

You are also cordially invited to a symposium preceding the inaugural lecture, from 09:30 to 15:05 hrs at the TechMed Centre building.
SYMPOSIUM: A KALEIDOSCOPE OF IMAGING
The word kaleidoscope derives from the Greek kalo ´beautiful´ + eidos ´form´+ scopein ´see´. In this symposium, just like in a kaleidoscope, we will get to see rich forms of imaging methods interrogating various parts of the human body to uncover patterns of physical and physiological contrasts so we learn more about disease and health. While the M3I presence is seen in both sessions, the second session also involves valued collaborators who perform research into imaging the female breast.
