Design
- Waveguide end facet coupler optimization (broadband in VIS range, fabrication capability, end facet polishing setup design)

- Broadband grating structure design with improved upward efficiency.
- Broadband single-mode waveguide design
- Micro mirror surface simulation and generate a 3D printing model.
- Efficient UV grating coupler design
- 3D printed tunable Micro Mirror
- Design an Angled MMI (Multi-Mode Interferometer)
Fabrication
- Deep SiO2 etching optimization
- Nano micro imprint process development for 3D printed micro-optics and micro-mechanics (collaboration with Morphotonics).
- Imprint polymer waveguides (collaboration with Morphotonics).
Testing and Measurement
- On-chip cross-dispersion astrospectrometer characterization.
- Joint development and testing of wafer-level testing equipment.
- Biosensing with the SepsPIC setup. Testing and date processing.
- Inter-chip spacer with laser forward transfer (between 2 UT groups and LioniX)
- Characterize 3D printed micro mirrors from UV (261 nm ) to IR (reflectivity, beam quality, alignment influence, matching with simulation).
- Unidirectional on-chip laser characterization.

Project: Integrating Wave Optics and Geometrical Optics in Microscale Free-Form Optics Simulation
