These animations have been made by Jeroen Huijben to clarify the working principle of high pressure RHEED with pulsed laser deposition.

The first three animations show the different growth modes of SrTiO3: ideal 2D layer by layer growth, 3D non-ideal growth and induced layer by layer growth by pulsed laser interval deposition. The fourth animation shows the deposition of an artificial YCuO2/BaCuO2 superlattice. The next animation shows the growth of SrRuO3 on TiO2 terminated SrTiO3. Finally, the last animation show our new PLD system, with in-situ AFM monitoring.
