Dr. Aayan Banerjee wins funding for HyUSE project

The “HyUSE” project, with a total budget of ~16.6 million €, is part of the National Growthfund GroenvermogenNL, and has been funded. This new project includes over 30 organisations across NL (including 8 universities, 5 universities of applied sciences, 3 research institutes, and 14 industrial partners) with a focus on the direct use of H2 in the emerging low carbon economy.  As part of this project, Dr. Aayan Banerjee will be leading a ~3.2 million € work package on next-generation protonic ceramic H2 fuel cells for zero emission combined heat and power applications in industry and the built environment. Aside from UT, this task includes 3 knowledge institutes – University of Utrecht, RU Groningen, Avans University of Applied Sciences – and 3 companies – HyET NoCarbon, Shell and Lyondell Basell.
