Fanaat hosts a day filled with board games.
On Saturday 14 June the next Fanaat Open will take place. During this event, which takes place about once every two months, the Drakenkelder will be open to visitors to come over and try out Fanaat’s extensive collection of board games. Whether you prefer to showcase your skills in a strategy game or to play some fun party games with your (old and new) friends, Fanaat’s community will make sure everyone enjoys their time at the Drakenkelder. As the event lasts from 11:00 to 23:00, it is the perfect time to play longer, more complex board games as well.
Fanaat is the board game association on the UT campus. Their collection features something for everyone to enjoy, from more casual games to complicated strategy games. Besides the regular game nights that take place twice a week, members also have the opportunity to delve into roleplaying games (such as Dungeons and Dragons) using the resources available at the Drakenkelder. For wargaming enthusiasts, a Warhammer 40k evening is held monthly. Finally, Fanaat organises a theme night every other Friday which is always free for members. These nights are dedicated to themes such as party games, social deduction, movies, seasonal events, and many more.
