Studium Generale - Nobel lectures & Buffet

The Nobel Prizes in Physics, Chemistry and Medicine are awarded every year in October. Curious what these prizes are about? Join the annual Nobel Lectures organized by TNW and Studium Generale. Eminent scientists and science journalists explain the prize-winning research. This year, we proudly announce the following speakers:

Mark Huijben, professor (TNW/UT) and battery researcher, explains the Chemistry Nobel Prize for the invention of the Lithium-Ion-Battery by Goodenough, Whittingham and Yoshino.

Govert Schilling, science journalist and writer of many books on astrophysics and space research, explains the Physics Nobel Prize for Cosmology (Peebles) and for the Observation of Exo-Planets (Mayor and Queloz).

Kerensa Broersen, associate professor (TNW/UT) and specialized in cell technology, explains the Medicine Nobel Prize for the discovery of how cells sense and adapt to oxygen availability by Kaelin, Semenza and Ratcliffe.
