She is a movement scientist and running coach. She has written several books, including Door de barrière (Through the Barrier). This book is about mental strategies that can help you when the going gets tough during a race. It also covers dealing with injuries and different forms of motivation. One thing is clear: physical strength alone is not enough. Highly recommended in the run-up to the Batavierenrace.
