An extraordinary visit! On 29 November 2019, his Majesty King Willem-Alexander opened the new Technical Medical Centre. It is not the first time the Royal Family pays a visit to our campus. On 12 December 1990 his father, Prince Claus, opens another building: the cleanroom. It is the home of MESA, the first interfactultary institute of the University of Twente. Prince Claus has paid a visit to the (then) Technische Hogeschool Twente before, in 1967 he also visted the campus and its residents.
