Excellent scores for Science & Technology studies according to Elsevier survey ‘Beste studies 2016’

The studies within UT’s Science & Technology cluster have, as in previous years, received particularly good scores in the annual Elsevier survey ‘De beste studies’. A result we can be proud of!

When we take a look at the overall results of bachelor programs AT, ST and TN, we see that the total scores of all three programs have increased in comparison to last year, resulting in a fabulous 2nd place in the national ranking for ST (with a score of 73 percent) and a very well-deserved 1st place for TN (with a score of 77 percent).

When it comes to facilities and teachers our bachelor programs score significantly above average. And, on top of that, the scores in the areas of organization and communication have notably improved. It is, however, striking that ST is somewhat lagging behind the national average when it comes to structure of the study program (63 versus 70 percent).

Not only the bachelor programs within Science & Technology are doing well. Master programs APh, ChE and NT are also rated excellent by our students. Both APh and ChE came out on top with a total score of resp. 80 and 78 percent, and also NT scored a fantastic 78 percent, which is 12 percent higher than last year.

Our Master students are particularly satisfied with their teachers (all three programs scored well above 80 percent) as well as the structure of the programs and the testing.

‘We want all the programs within S&T to become a so-called ‘topopleiding’.  (ed: programs ranked number 1 in the national ranking). That is one of the goals that the TNW faculty has set. This outcome shows that we are absolutely on the right track!
