The Mayor of Enschede Onno van Veldhuizen is in “town” this October and invites UT alumni from the Brussels region for an afternoon talk with him to catch-up over the latest news from the city. Mayor Van Veldhuizen has held his post since 2015. During this event you can get insight into Enschede’s challenges and ambitions both locally and in Europe.
This event will also be an opportunity to meet Solange Panayotopoulos who as our UT Alumni Community Manager fills a unique position jointly funded as part of a 3-year pilot by the UT, the Province of Overijssel, and the Twente Region with the ambitious goal of helping these stakeholders more effectively leverage the University of Twente’s alumni network both in the Netherlands and around the world.
Our thanks to the European Consortium of Innovative Universities* (ECIU) of which the UT is a founding partner, for hosting the gathering. Olga Wessels the Head of the ECIU's Brussels Office will provide a brief update during the meeting about the network including the latest news about the ECIU University one of the 'European Universities of the Future'.
The programme also includes a concluding borrel with the Mayor, members of his delegation as well as fellow UT alumni living in Brussels.
