Online kick-off event Women in Innovation Network UK

We are delighted to announce the launch of a new initiative the called "Women in Innovation Network UK".

This network is established by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Dutch technical universities DEAN (Dutch Engineers Alumni Network)* together with a group of female alumni volunteers living in the UK. The network would also welcome women in innovation who are not alumni from the aforementioned universities.

On Tuesday 23 June at 8:00 PM (GMT +1) you are invited to join the interactive kick-off of this network. To register, please use this form.

Women in Innovation Network UK
The Women in Innovation Network is a growing platform where we can share knowledge and information on the latest innovation, technology and science developments in both our countries and will provide an opportunity to expand your (professional network) and connect with like-minded women. It will connect women (engineers and non engineers) working in the innovative/technical sector. We are hoping this platform will become an inspiring, safe and encouraging environment that can also be used for mentoring and job advice. Let’s empower each other!

The direction of the network will be determined by the input of its members. You can expect online bi-monthly meetings and face-to-face meetings when possible again. In addition to these meetings, you can sign up to a slack group where we can exchange contacts and ideas.

The interactive evening programme includes a welcome by the Embassy and the Universities, followed by a short talk by TU Delft alumna Carin Campanario (Industrial Design Engineering). Carin obtained her Master in IDE and is UX Designer at TUI. Carin will talk about the  innovation challenges that she encountered during her 'TUI Voice Strategy' project for travel giant TUI (for which she created, launched, and trialed 3 Amazon Alexa skills), and about how she tackels the challenges during this process.

Our gathering concludes with a virtual borrel (BYOB) where you and fellow female alumni living in the UK will be able to meet in break-out groups to maximize interactions and stimulate conversations! Make sure to also bring some snacks and drinks for the borrel!
