Combining two specialisations

It is possible to combine two specialisations in your degree programme. Both specialisations will be mentioned on your diploma. The study load of your course programme, the internship and the master's thesis will be the same as in case of a single specialisation programme. The requirements for graduating with two specialisations are the following:

  1. Your course programme must satisfy the requirements of both specialisations.
  2. Both chairs of your specialisations should be involved with a combined master’s thesis project that they have approved before the start of the project.

Procedure for the approval of the course programmes

Please fill in two forms for your course programme: one for each specialisation. Have both forms signed by the corresponding programme mentor and submit them to the education office. Of course you should discuss your plans for combining the two specialisations with both programme mentors. The courses on both forms will be the same, but the order in which they appear may be different: a compulsory course on one form may be an elective on the other one. See the section about "Setting up and organising your programme" for more information about the general procedure

Procedure for the master’s thesis project

One of the groups of your specialisation will contribute the chair of the graduation committee. The other group will contribute the second examiner as described in the “Description of the master’s thesis”. Both should approve the project description in the Mobility Online system before the start of the project. See the “Procedure master’s thesis” for more information about the registration procedure.
