ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS IN ENSCHEDE
The University of Twente can arrange your accommodation on campus in our log cabins. The costs are €22.50 per person per night. This price includes a mandatory sheet package (pillow case and fitted sheet) for the whole stay. The price is valid until 1 August 2026.
If you prefer to stay in a ho(s)tel or somewhere else, you need to make your own arrangements.
When booking a hotel, the regular hotel overnight costs must be paid directly to the hotel (so no intervention from the UT and no reduced rate). Read more about these options:
Log cabins and the Stall on campus
The campus of the University of Twente offers accommodation in 9 log cabins, located near the sports facilities (7 log cabins for 12 students and 2 log cabins for 16 students).
You might be sharing a log cabin with students from a different study programme or academic year. While we cannot guarantee separate cabins for men and women, we will do our best to match preferences where possible.
A sheet package (pillowcase and fitted sheet) is mandatory and included in the €22.50 fee. Just remember to bring your own sleeping bag/coverlet and a towel. Please note: the cabins are only heated enough to prevent freezing during winter — so pack warm!
Bathroom facilities are in a separate building, about 25 meters from the log cabins. You will need to sort out your own breakfast. There is a supermarket close by. It is about a 10-minute walk from the log cabin to the central O&O square on campus.

Hotels on and nearby campus
There is a hotel on campus (U Parkhotel) and another just across campus (Hotel De Broeierd). Feel free to make your own arrangements if you prefer to stay in one of these hotels. Keep in mind that hotel bookings are your own responsibility. The University of Twente is not involved in the reservation process and there are no special student rates - you will need to pay the standard hotel prices directly to the hotel. If you share a room with a fellow student, your stay will be more affordable.
The buildings, where your practicals and tutorials take place, are a 10-minute walk from both hotels.
