Lunch Lecture Dimitri Stamatialis Tuesday April 20th
The Female Faculty Network Twente reminds you to our invitation of a lunch lecture ‘Getting your science funded: a guide for writing a research proposal’ by Dimitrios Stamatialis on Tuesday 20 April, from 12.30 till 14.00 hrs in building Logica. While we are developing our career skills, we must develop techniques to get our science funded by applying for grants to various sources. Nowadays especially in the university environment, being successful in grant applications is becoming a crucial factor for career development and recognition.
Lunch Lecture: Tuesday June 15th
The Female Faculty Network Twente invites you to our the lunch lecture: ‘Necessary hints to those who would be scientist’ by Professor Ariana Need. This lecture is followed by speed dating with Veni and Vidi grant winners: Regina Luttge (TNW, Veni), Mieke Boon (GW, Vidi), Mireille Claessens (TNW, Vidi), Pamela Habibovic, (TNW, Veni) and Professor Ariana Need. Professor Ariana Need will tell about the do’s and don’ts for people who want to get better in science. As a member of a committee who evaluates research proposals she will give tips and tricks for grant writing. Furthermore she will inform us about women in science; as a result of her research.

Het Female Faculty Network Twente nodigt de vrouwelijke hoogleraren en UHD’s van de Universiteit Twente uit voor een workshop: Netwerken en impressiemanagement op dinsdag 9 februari a.s. van 14.00-18.30 uur in gebouw de Drienerburght.
Lunch Lecture Thursday February 11th
The Female Faculty Network Twente is inviting you to a lunch lecture on: ‘Sell your research commercially’ by Professor Aard Groen on Thursday 11 February, from 12.30 till 14.00 hrs. in building the Drienerburght. Some young and less young female members of FFNT have expressed their interest to commercialize or at least to know sufficiently aspects of the process involved to do so. This might enlarge their vision and look beyond their research technical work.
Cycling through the dutch jungle, Thursday May 20th
The FFNT is the Female Faculty Network of the University of Twente. The FFNT wishes to greet and meet recently arrived female PhD students, PostDocs, lecturers and Professors. Therefore we invite you for a lunch-meeting with the symbolic title Cycling through the Dutch jungle. The aim of the lunch-meeting is to exchange experience in a relaxed atmosphere on adapting to the UT environment and to every day’s life in The Netherlands.
Film, Thursday Januari 14th
The Female Faculty Network Twente is inviting you to a film presentation on: “In the company of women” on Thursday 14 January from 15.30 till 16.30 hrs. in building the Faculty Club, the Blomzaal. Work relations between women can be intense and stimulating, but also the opposite. Women are not always as supportive towards each other as it could be, or, as women claim to be according to all their social competences.
