Project

Development of data-driven decision support tools that use operation and production data generated by manufacturing execution systems (MES)

The goal is to develop innovative tools to help small and medium manufacturing facilities realize three main objectives:

  1. Intensification of automation and robotization: efforts (linked to digital tools for including agent-based simulation to robotize conventional (labor-intensive) manufacturing tasks.
  2. Data-driven digital twins: explore opportunities for a data-driven framework from MES data to efficiently design digital twins of the manufacturing environment.
  3. Develop a demonstrator (learning factory) together with industry: explore opportunities for developing a proof-of-concept to implement the first two objectives.
