Rijksinspectie Digitale Infrastructuur donates measuring equipment to University of Twente

The Rijksinspectie Digitale Infrastructuur (RDI), previously known as Agentschap Telecom, is donating high-quality measurement equipment to the Radio Systems group at the University of Twente. It concerns equipment that the RDI uses to perform its monitoring task in the radio spectrum.  In order to give the equipment a second life, it was decided to enter into cooperation with the University of Twente and use it for educational and training purposes.

At the University of Twente, people are trained to become professional radio specialists, or potential future employees of the RDI. These students think out theoretical problems in the radio spectrum and then verify them in a practical setup. They do this in the measurement lab where additional equipment is more than welcome. The Master and PhD students can therefore get more in touch with measurements in practice.

The equipment provided includes spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters and coaxial cables. The donation will allow the university to expand its lab, allowing students to gain hands-on experience and a good understanding of the radio spectrum.

We would like to thank RDI for the valuable donation. Special thanks to Ben Witvliet, Hans Bogerman and Ben van den Bos for arranging it!
