Our PhD candidate, Duc Nguyen Dao, presented his paper, "Joint Beamforming for Multi-User Multi-Target FD ISAC System: A Hybrid GRQ-GA Approach", at the IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference 2025 (WCNC 2025), Milan, 24-27 of March 2025.

The paper was co-authored by Dr. Yang Miao, Prof. André Kokkeler, and Dr. Haibin Zhang. proposes a joint beamforming and power allocation method for a full-duplex ISAC system that handles multiple users and targets simultaneously. The approach uses a closed-form solution and a genetic algorithm to maximize sum-rate while maintaining sensing performance. Results show significant improvements over half-duplex system and classical optimization approach.
