Education

EEMCS celebrates the recognition of Create@VU as a ‘Topopleiding’ and the first graduates of the MSc Robotics programme, which continues to attract students. Efforts remain focused on student inflow, leveraging opportunities like the Beethoven project and preparing TAOs before summer 2025.

Research

EEMCS has seen growth in PhD students due to newly approved external projects and continues to align its education and research with UT’s impact themes. A comprehensive research review for Electrical Engineering offers insights from the review committee on both the national landscape and the position of EE at UT.

Operations

EEMCS remains financially stable despite challenges, with a clear strategy for 2025-2029 and a concrete annual plan for 2025 to drive progress. Other priorities include internal communication, well-being, diversity and inclusion, and contributing to a more flexible recognition and reward system.
