On the 22nd of September, the Internal Robotics Symposium will take place! During this low-barrier event, you will get to know other robotics or robotics-related researchers of both University of Twente and Saxion. In this edition, we would like to allow you to attend either physically on campus or online.

15:05 - 15:45 | After a short opening at 3PM, our keynote speaker Professor Katja Mombaur – Canada Excellence Research Chair in Human-Centred Robotics and Machine Intelligence - will kick off this symposium. In her keynote she will share her expertise in human-robot interaction, wearable and humanoid robots, and human motion analysis. |
15:45 - 16:00 | Arvid Keemink Next steps in lower-extremity exoskeleton research. This presentation highlights our current strategy, challenges and future plans for incorporating force control to achieve stable standing balance, balance recovery and walking with paraplegic patients in an exoskeleton robot. |
16:00 - 16:15 | Wouter van Dijk polynomial chaos for the task of robust predictive modelling |
16:15 - 16:30 | Frank van der Velde In the presentation, I will outline how cognitive psychology, which studies human cognition and behaviour, could be useful for the development of robot abilities and their interactions with humans. |
16:30 - 17:00 | Sara Falcone Robin Lieftink This presentation investigates the relation between the Sense of Embodiment and Teleoperation, moreover it briefly introduces the project realized for the XPrize competition. |
17:00 | Closing and on campus drinks. At 5PM it is time for our colleagues who are joining us on campus, to reconnect and catch up over some drinks. |
