Energy Management at the University of Twente
Already about 15 years ago, researchers from the chairs the Computer Architecture for Embedded Systems (CAES) and Mathematics of Operations Research (MOR) of the faculty Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EEMCS) of the University of Twente have combined their strength and started a new research direction ‘Energy Management’ (EM@UT) to develop and implement new concepts and approaches in the research area of smart grids.
Meanwhile, EM@UT has broadened its scope and also integrates technical, economic and social aspects influencing the management and control of the future energy systems into the developed concepts and approaches. For this, EM@UT cooperates with researchers from the faculties Behavioral Management and Science (BMS) and Engineering Technology (ET).
Nationally and internationally, the group nowadays cooperates in more than 10 research projects with research groups from different disciplines and with several companies and organizations. These projects vary from being more conceptually and fundamental up to application oriented and the involvement in field tests.
Visit the EM@UT website for more information on our research, active projects and thesis assignments.
