Research Project Description

In collaboration with industry and research partners we will develop an ambulatory system that can be used for the analysis, diagnostics, and treatment of brain-related movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, MS, ALS, and dystonia. Mobile technology, including functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS), EEG, and accelerometry, can provide patient-specific treatment options to help them compensate for motor dysfunctions. Initially, we aim to detect and predict falls and freezing episodes in Parkinson’s disease patients.
