Transitioning towards Resilient Multimodal Corridors using Digital Twinning
The new year started with a lot of interaction between the many parties involved in this important, but thus also complicated and challenging project. Not only many companies and insutrial partners are involved, but also govermental bodies, as well as researchers and students. To start with the latter, last January a group of students from the Windesheim University presented their work with the title "From Disruption to Resilience" in collaboration with For Farmers. This is a project, done in the light of their minor Supply Chain Resilience. The results were quite celebrated : a toolbox with which both For Farmers and their charterer Peterson Nederland can 'simply' calculate which multimodal solution is the best in case of (too) low water levels in their waterways ; a beautiful first step in our project and confirming our vision that the concept of Resilience Engineering truly contributes to being more resistance to supply chain disruptions in the light of Climate Extremes.
