ArtEZ Master of Music Students perform together about living together.
Students of the master academy of the ArtEZ Conservatoire in Zwolle have their roots all over the world. Collaboration is an essential part of the profession of the modern musician, and in a diverse student community counts more than only your musical skills. Personality, values, habits; everything seems to be put aside for the quality of the collaboration. But by sharing stories about each other’s backgrounds, and use them as an inspiration, empathy becomes the key to get to a higher level.
For this concert the students explored each other’s backgrounds, the universal human rights, the techniques of rehearsal and collaboration, and their relation to the world, but above all the connection with their profession: musicianship at master level.
Specific training for this project has been given by members of the Dudok Quartet and the Dutch Chamber Choir, and by harpist/philosopher Andrea Voets.
