Her own touch Eline van Hove

As part of the Week of Amateur Arts, WAK 2016, we show work from UT student Eline van Hove, Student Union portfolio Sports and Culture.

Eline's starting point is usually a picture from a newspaper or magazine. That is the beginning. Then comes her own "touch". Experimenting with different materials, composition possibilities and ways of expression she seeks her own style, she says. Or is that just it, her "touch", the experiment?

Painting and drawing is one of the things that Eline loves most doing. In the third year of her studies in Applied Mathematics she changed for half a year from the UT to the Art school (AKI ArtEZ), doing a minor drawing. For her a big change: from tightly defined and analytical jobs to a frighteningly blank sheet of paper and a lot of freedom.

Topic is often the man, but as said, she often fans out in all directions. Currently she is experimenting for example with pieces of paper and fabric in her work. That works will also be featured in this exhibition.

Opening in the presence of the exhibitor on Thursday 19 May at 16:30.
