This workshop is free of charge for all students of the University of Twente
Maximum 10 participants
All students interested in learning how to visualize their ideas, designs or projects with the help of images.
Visual Thinking is a very effective and popular way of sharing your ideas with others. It is a method very commonly used in board rooms and at conferences. After this training you are able to present your ideas and designs with the help of visualization.
Please note that Visual thinking is not a drawing workshop! You will be trained in Visual thinking by using sufficient examples of images, doing practical exercises like making sketch notes and using existing images to transfer information. Your sense of perception and visualization will be trained.
Visual thinking supports presentations and lectures. By visualizing, you are able to focus better and longer while presenting. You learn how to conceptualize your ideas and thoughts more quickly, clearly and tangibly, to yourself, others, an audience. Visual thinking supports the learning process and levels language barriers. Visual thinking stimulates communication, is activating and captivating.
By the way, you don’t need to have any drawing experience. You only need a computer and internet.
During the first session you are introduced to the subject. Practical exercises and visual footage will help you train visual thinking, learn to make sketch notes and use images to transfer information. At the end of the session you’ll receive an assignment to prepare a presentation with the help of visualization.
The second session is a presentation session. During the presentation of your fellow students, you’ll make sketch notes. Participants receive peer and tutor feedback and individual questions/problems are addressed.
