VWI Nestorix (formerly: Association of Philosophical Engineers / in Dutch: Vereniging van Wijsgerig Ingenieurs – VWI)) is the alumni association of the MSc degree programme Philosophy of Science, Technology and Society (PSTS). Nestorix aims at fostering communication between alumni, the programme, and the current PSTS students. All PSTS graduates are invited to join us, and we hope to welcome you to one of our activities soon.
We strive to organise meetings twice a year. In Spring a theme-based event (e.g. workshop or lecture); in Autumn an informal meet-and-greet with drinks and snacks (usually somewhere in the centre of the Netherlands.
In principle, every PSTS graduate becomes automatically a Nestorix member, and all communication is automatically received via their preferred email address as recorded in the UT alumni database.
Furthermore, we encourage you to become a member of the newsgroup on LinkedIn. This requires a LinkedIn account, but we assume that for most of you this is already the case. We believe that the nature of LinkedIn coincides well with the goals of the association. We also manage a Facebook-page, on which all kinds of things that are interesting for alumni can be shared.
The Nestorix board can be contacted via: firstname.lastname@example.org, and currently consists of:
- Michiel Kamphuis (PSTS 2021), Chairman
- Florian Helfrich (PSTS 2020), Treasurer
- Anna-Carolina Zuiderduin (PSTS 2020), Secretary
