General Didactic Teaching Support
(Classroom observations, feedback, didactic advice, etc.)
What is it?
We offer tailored and contextual teaching feedback opportunities between our specialist and teaching groups/ individuals. We can offer concrete suggestions for improvements in teaching, educational design and media development that is conducive to learning.
What kind of support do we provide?
- We can confidentially observe lessons in order to support teachers to enhance areas where they have points of concern.
- Facilitate group observations and feedback loops, in order to enhance cohesion and standards within the teaching team.
- Offer feedback on teaching material design.
- Act as a sounding board for ideas for more interactive classrooms or innovative education.
Example(s) or Testimonial
- Perhaps you have a UTQ exemption and have never had a UT observation before, but you would really like someone to come and see you teach in the Dutch context. We can have a preliminary meeting to talk about your goals and concerns, and then proceed to do an observation with follow up feedback and concrete suggestions on how to improve in your areas of concern.
- Perhaps your course has a combination of disparate teachers or topics and you feel the course could benefit from an enhanced cohesive teaching front. We can tailor and implement a plan to enable teachers within a team, to get on the same page by evaluating materials, undergoing specialist and peer lesson observations, as well as follow up appointments to ensure shared goals are achieved.
- Perhaps you feel that your teaching materials need a refresh. We can look them over and make suggestions according to Mayer’s Multimedia Principles. Further, we can suggest activities to embed within your lesson to activate and engage students meaningfully.
