Well-being and mental health in young adults

Method Stream: Longitudinal Intensive Methods

ECs: Both 14 and 23 EC thesis possible

Description:

Many young adults (18-25 years) struggle with stress and low well-being due to e.g., increasing responsibilities and expectations, and major changes in their lives, which can lead to other problems with mental health. In this project, students will translate/create a cross sectional questionnaire (23EC thesis), or use existing data (14EC) from a questionnaire in which (different dimensions of) well-being, sleep, and related mental health variables are measured in young adults.

Possible constructs (to be) included in the questionnaire and data-set consist of:
Well-being, perceived stress, sleep, resilience, stress mindset, loneliness, and possibly intolerance of uncertainty, and fear of missing out.

Analyses (research questions) can include (models of) e.g., mediation and moderation of variables related to well-being.
