Continental Philosophies of Technology (PhDs only)

We are reading works from the continental tradition that are relevant to philosophy of technology. We share an interest in continental philosophy and also acknowledge that it can be a bit intimidating - which is why we read together and why this group is only open to PhDs within the 4TU network. We host hybrid meetings (online and at Utrecht University) once every three weeks. We have recently read Don Ihde’s Technology and the Lifeworld (1990) and are currently reading Herbert Marcuse’s One Dimensional Man (1964). Upcoming readings are proposed by and voted upon with current members of the group.
