ENQA Leadership Development Programme (ENQA LDP)
Since 2018, KiTeS has annually organised a leadership development programme on behalf of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA). As the stakeholder organisation of quality assurance agencies in the European Higher Education Area, ENQA represents their interests internationally, supports them nationally and provides them with comprehensive services and networking opportunities. In this context, the leadership development programme organised by KiTeS constitutes a key activity.
The LDP programme admits approximately 20 participants annually, drawn from across the ENQA membership agencies, with the overarching aims of community building and fostering leadership capacity through a structured framework of peer learning for mid-potential professional staff. The LDP aims to 1) gain up-to-date information on key developments in the European Higher Education and the opportunity for analysis and discussions on the impact these have on QA and the work of agencies; 2) enhance the understanding of leadership skills and competences in the specific context of QA agencies, including the complexities of stakeholder cooperation; 3) expand the professional networks through exchange with colleagues in similar positions from across Europe, and to work together between seminars in project groups on a small-scale, focused project related to European quality assurance and quality enhancement; and 4) visit three European QA agencies and learn from their leaders and ENQA Board members.
The programme is characterised by its interactive and collegial approach and consists of three three-day seminars, each hosted by a different QA agency.
The designated contact person for the ENQA Leadership Development Programme at KiTeS is dr. Harry de Boer.
