project
The DIRECT project is dedicated to fostering the responsible use of digital technologies for the benefit of society and the environment. Through education and training, DIRECT empowers individuals and organizations to navigate the ethical challenges of digitalization.
To achieve this, the project will develop key resources, including:
- A skills-based framework that synthesizes common ethical dilemmas in digitalization, guiding the development of digital responsibility (DR) competencies.
- Innovative learning designs that equip educators and learners with the tools to enhance their digital responsibility skills.
- A skills analytics engine that personalizes learning pathways to meet individual needs and challenges.
- An integrated web-based learning platform that provides a seamless and user-friendly DR learning experience.
DIRECT is driven by a diverse and engaged consortium, bringing together educators and learners from schools, higher education institutions, vocational training, and enterprises. By equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills to address ethical risks, the project helps mitigate the potential negative impacts of digitalization while fostering responsible innovation and entrepreneurship. This, in turn, strengthens the European economy’s ability to tackle major societal challenges.
