María Jesús Rodríguez Triana

María Jesús Rodríguez Triana received her Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Technologies from the University of Valladolid (Spain, 2014) and, after being a Postdoctoral Fellow at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL, Switzerland), she joined Tallinn University as Senior Researcher in the CEITER team. She has been involved since 2008 in national and international projects (such as Preaty, Go-Lab, Next-Lab or CEITER)  dealing with the application of (multimodal) learning analytics to inform decision making at the student, teacher and management level. As part of her research, Dr. Rodríguez-Triana has paid special attention to the challenges that often condition the adoption  of learning analytics such as ethics and privacy, data literacy, pedagogy-grounding and algorithmic accountability.
