INternal Internships

An internal internship is conducted at the University of Twente, preferably at the section Instructional Technology. During an internal internship, the student is counselled by the lecturer/researcher (i.e., first supervisor) concerned with the students’ project.

There are two types of internal internships: education internships and research internships. An overview of both can be found below.

EXTERNAL INTERNSHIPS

An external internship is conducted in a company or institution other than the University of Twente. During an external internship, the student is counselled by an external supervisor of the organisation as well as by an internal supervisor of the UT.

The organisation providing the internship appoints an external supervisor who is responsible for the care, guidance and supervision of the intern, as well as maintaining contact with the UT's internal supervisor. The external supervisor has enjoyed a university education and is, preferably, a psychologist.

The UT's internal supervisor is a lecturer/researcher within the Educational Psychology master programme (from the section Instructional Technology) from the BMS faculty who is responsible for supervising and assessing the student.

An overview of external internships of the Educational Psychology programme can be found below. It is also possible to find an internship at an external organization yourself. If you would like to discuss a possible external internship that you found yourself, please contact Loes Hogenkamp to discuss the possibilities.
