e-learning Study skills for students
In cooperation with Student Well-being improvement programme (Kathelijn Jacobs and study advisors related to SWIP)
TOPIC
Studying doesn’t always come naturally, but it can be learned. For years, UTwente study advisors from various programs have distributed booklets to students containing information about study skills. They indicate they would also like to use interactive videos. However, they lack the time to develop their own interactive videos and materials that students can use independently. UTwente has a contract with the e-learning platform GoodHabitz for all staff and students. Together with GoodHabitz, we would like to explore whether we can offer a study skills learning path using GoodHabitz’s professionally produced materials. A collaboration with GoodHabitz has already been established for this purpose.
METHOD
- Determine whether GoodHabitz’s materials cover the most relevant study skills topics.
- Assess whether the materials are suitable for students.
- Design a learning path and collect/design follow-up assignments to accompany the videos.
- Explore how and on which UT platform we can make these videos and assignments available.
Since we work with materials available in Dutch and English, we would like to have a student that understands Dutch and English on B2/C1 level
