Description:

The purpose of this project is to develop and evaluate a low threshold mHealth supported self-compassion intervention to help newly diagnosed cancer patients to improve their self-compassion skills and to help them cope with the emotional challenges of their disease and treatment. The intervention will be integrated in regular oncology-care, and developed in close cooperation with patients and care professionals. To this aim, 7 co-creative, iterative participatory design workshops are conducted. The second purpose is to evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, technical challenges and psychosocial outcomes of the mHealth intervention in a proof-of-concept study.
