The Internship is a compulsory part of the master Applied Physics (except HBO-continuators). The Internship is 20 EC (course code 19359901), ca. 13 weeks. The 10 EC Free Elective courses can be used to extend the Internship to 30 EC (course code 201700185), 20 weeks. During the internship the student stays at a company, research institute or university. The learning goal of the internship concerns experience to the future working field by performing a relevant assignment at an external organisation. We believe a stay abroad is a valuable component of the study therefore we recommend an internship abroad.
Judgement whether the project foreseen is of sufficient quality has to be performed by an academic supervisor who is staff member of an Applied Physics Group. Check 'Overview Staff Applied Phsyics ' for the allowed internship supervisors. During this assignment, gained knowledge and skills at the study programme can be applied in an actual working environment.
Start the application procedure through registration in Mobility Online. From one year to at least 3 months prior to start orientation by submitting your application form.
Every year in an information session, the coordinator provides general information about the internship. Also, take care that you will be enrolled to visit the CANVAS site Internships TNW. At this site, you find information about experiences in the past, internship offers and all the necessary forms.
